‘Fantasy is hardly an escape from reality. It is a way of understanding it.’ – Alexander Lloyd. 

 I see the photography medium as a tool, a tool to capture reality. At the same time, the camera gives me as a photographer the option to modify or twist reality. By entangling reality and fantasy for visual and textual research, I create my own perception.

My perception might not be your reality, but I would like to make you ponder about it. Like writer Alexander Lloyd says, the purpose of fantasy is to understand reality. In my photography I use this to confront the audience with reality and different perceptions thereof.
