Risography
Risography is a printing technique that sits between screen printing and photocopying. In risography, an image is printed one color at a time using a stencil, building up layers of color on top of each other. Because these layers never align perfectly, small shifts, transparencies, and unexpected color overlaps occur, which are characteristic of the process.
Within this experiment, I explore how this layering and imperfection influence the image. By working with color in separate print runs, a play between control and chance emerges, where each print becomes slightly different.
